The liqueur has very floral and fruity notes with subtle sweetness. It is refreshing and light with expression of abundant wild flowers and exotic tropical fruits.
The Han company focuses on making Maesilju (Korean plum wine). Maesil is harvested at its optimal ripeness when the fruit turns from green to reddish golden color. Fully ripened maesil has natural sweetness while retaining bright acidity and develops complex aromatics. Maesil is macerated in neutral cane spirits then local honey from Jeju Island is added to give subtle sweetness.
How to drink it
The rich fruity aroma and smooth taste of Won Mae make it a perfect drink to enjoy after a meal or as a dessert drink. Enjoy Won Mae chilled or on ice to fully appreciate its flavors and aromas. It also makes a great addition to cocktails, adding a unique twist to classic drinks.
